Spring / Summer Fashion Shows have come and gone for another year. There have been plenty of great trends to hit the catwalk this season and Polyester are bringing you our favourite looks!
First up: Separates.
Separates were showcased by everyone from Louis Vuitton to Dolce & Gabbana. Dolce & Gabbana were my personal stand-out for separates. Their Sicily influenced designs were bright and eye catching. A look for any bold, risk-takers out there.
House of Holland and Michael Kors both included more modest separates in their shows. With longer bottoms and less revealing tops.
Separates are definitely a trend that needs huge amounts of confidence to pull off. However, there is also a fine line between trendy and tacky - so be sure to choose tasteful designs.
The great thing about this trend is that even if you are not game enough to pull off a midriff look, separates designs are bold, statement pieces. Meaning the bottoms can be worn as a statement piece all on there lonesome.
