If any of you are
avid internet shoppers (like I am), or procrastinating from uni work (like I
am) ASOS.com is probably one of your first port of calls. So the news that they
are shining the spotlight on the radical trendsetter with pink hair, CharlotteFree is pretty exciting.

Her fuckyeahcharlottefree Tumblr fan page has disowned her and her Facebook profile
describes her as a ‘fictional character,’ a “Princess from another world… extra terrestrial nature lover. Heart full
of love. Re-incarnate of princess Zelda. Modeling to expand my opportunities.” Apart
from spelling modelling wrong, Charlotte comes across as a whirlwind of
fantasy, colour and renegade fashion. Learning that Charlotte bleaches and
fluorescently colours her hair at home breaks down the wall of yet another
convention and makes her all the more inspiring.

According to
Charlotte, she was discovered as a model when somebody asked to take her photo
and she “foolishly” said yes. Today
however, Charlotte motivates people to look beyond fashion trends into a world
of self-expression, sequins and experimentalism.
