2nd ACCTA Awards Ceremony

Tonight has seen the wrap up of the 2nd ACCTA Awards Season, with an international acclaimed line up of Aussie stars. After the 2nd ACCTA Awards Luncheon on Monday, the final slew of Awards have been presented and the season is over for another year.

The event, hosted by Russell Crowe and ACCTA President Geoffrey Rush, has once again been dominated by The Sapphires.
The hosts were joined on stage by other A-List Australian exports Cate Blanchett and Nicole Kidman.
After taking out 5 of the 6 available awards in the Feature Film section on Monday, The Sapphires have added another 6 awards tonight taking their grand total to a staggering 11 for the season.
Wish You Were Here added another 2 to there total. And Lore managed to finally take out a win with Saskia Rosendahl winning the ACCTA Award for Best Young Actor.

The Byron Kennedy Award was emotionally awarded to the late Sarah Watt (1958-2011), which was accepted by her son, Clem McInnes. The filmmaker, animator and artist was remembered for films such as Look Both Ways and My Year Without Sex.
