Polyester Lovers had the chance to check out Sydney’s newest late night watering hole this week. The Soda Factory is Surry Hills’ latest “hidden gem”, 12 months in the making and it’s been worth the wait! Intended as a sanctuary for our lovely city’s late night boozers or lovers of live music, The Soda Factory is definitely worth a look!
An intimate and trendy setting, hidden behind the fabulously lairy entry, The Soda factory is perfect for drinks with the gang, or a romantic night for two!
Order off the relatively extensive list of cocktails and go for a Chocolate Passion Martini – A surprisingly tasty mix of dark chocolate liqueur, passionfruit, Tuaca liqueur and Ketel One- Delicious. Or for something a little less fruity, try a Sailors Mule- a fresh take on the standard with a healthy dose of Sailor Jerry’s Spiced R. If you’re feeling peckish the food matches the cocktails for flavour, with a huge array of hotdogs in every variety imaginable. From the Texas Redneck, with chilli and cheese, to the Yoko Ono, with vegan dog, vegan cheese and avocado- each is as tasty as the next!
The Soda Factory doesn’t disappoint when it come to the tunes either! A funky mix of soul, R&B with a healthy dose of Jazz chucked in to spice things up. Think, Lo-Fi, meets Flinders, meets Shady Pines.
Delicious drinks, tasty dogs, great tunes & staffed with some of Sydney’s FINEST bartenders, The Soda Factory has all the right ingredients to be a standout in Sydney’s small bar scene!
The Soda Factory officially opens tonight, with DJ SPINNA playing.
16 Wentworth Avenue, Surry Hills.
