Sydney hip-hop artist Chance Waters is set to make a decent
stir in the Aussie hip-hop scene. After being crowned Triple J’s Unearthed Feature Artist under the alias Phatchance, he’s toured with local hip-hop
royalty 360, Illy, Bliss N Eso, Drapht and Pez.
Now he’s ditched the name and getting ready to release new
album, Infinity. You may already
recognise first track, Maybe Tomorrow,
which has been getting a significant amount of airplay over at Triple J.
Following in the footsteps of other local hip-hop artists,
Chance Waters album wouldn’t be complete without the slew of talented ladies
accompanying his killer tracks. Unlike other artists whose hits are about
cheating sluts * cough 360. * Chance Waters does manage to address some decent topics, Conjure Up a Fire
being the perfect example of this. Other tracks to be sure to check out include
Young and Dumb, which features the
ever so talented Bertie Blackman and of course title track Infinity. The sound of not only individual tracks, but the album as
a whole is fantastic. The music accompanying the tunes will have you bopping
along in no time.
Chance Waters is set to be another stand out addition to
Aussie hip-hop.
Be sure to check out his album, Infinity, out next Friday 2nd Nov, through Permanent Records.
